Hot stock tip – SPA.M ready to run!

I’ve noticed a serious uptick in the amount of spam I’m receiving, mostly promoting penny stocks. I’m not sure whether this is just because someone with my e-mail address has had their computer compromised (I’m pretty paranoid about keeping my personal & work addresses off the web) or the spammers have upgraded their spam bots/techniques.

The best thing about these emails is that they always come from some wonderfully named person – Rasmus Alston, Marjorie Michaels, Germaine Aldwych – and contain fascinating gibberish e.g.

Elinor’s expression conveys a desire to let the matter pass. But we’ve worked it out with our government over ten years now, and they’ve listened to what we said. Its the face of one who has made up her mind and demands assent to her decision. You can’t tell a cow not to calve because you want to go to the movies.

I think we can all relate to the last sentence.
